Bullying Poem

Don’t be a fool.
Use your tools.
Shame on you.
I don’t like you.
I cry quiet tears.
I wish you would just disappear.
I am filled with fear.
I just shed a tear.
Its bitter sweet.
I will hide in a sheet.
It’s the worst feeling.
It feels like my skin peeling.
I cried and cried throughout all the night.
But I know next time you will do it with all your might.
No bullies have friends.
So don’t try to pretend.
Are you feeling sad inside?
If so I can be by your side.
If you stopped bullying me and other people to.
People will then come close to you.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Easter Sunday morning I opened my eyes slowly and I saw, sitting there on my bedside table, a little bucket with the face of the Easter Bunny on the front. I sat up and picked it up. I peeked inside it and picked up a little note that had all the places where I had to look. The first line told me to go out into the living room. My legs were dying to get out of bed and onto the soft fluffy carpet to run to the first place. I hopped excitedly out of bed and ran into the living room. I was looking around and then I saw two Easter Eggs covered in pink and yellow wrapping sitting on the TV stand. I picked them up and placed them softly in the bucket. I looked around for more. My mum came down to the living room to help me. She spotted two Easter Eggs wrapped in spotty tinfoil on the coffee table. I stared down at the note. I read it out loud, “Go upstairs into the room where you like to spend most of your time,” it said. My mum knew where to look but she waited for me. I sped up the carpeted stairs and opened the  white gate into my office. I turned my head from side to side, looking around the room. I walked to the small white shelf at the side of the room and I saw two big Easter Eggs. One was wrapped in pink tinfoil and the other was covered in blue. I was finished in that room so I read the next clue. We had to go outside to the backyard to search. I slid the glass sliding door to open it and stepped outside onto the wooden deck. My face had a determined look on it because I wanted to find all of the Easter Eggs. I jumped onto the pavement excitedly. I stared at my tall Kowhai Tree. I grabbed two Easter Eggs from it. With a smile on her face, Mum pointed to the clay flower pots. I ran to them. My face was beaming with joy as I picked up the two Easter Eggs from the pots. I laid them into the bucket and ran inside. That was the best Easter Egg hunt I have ever had.

Holy Thursday Liturgy

Holy Thursday Liturgy

It was now the time of Passover. Jesus’ followers came to Him and said, “We will go and prepare everything for the Passover Feast. Where do you want to eat the feast?” Jesus answered, “Go into the city. A man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. He will go into a house. Tell the owner of the house, “The teacher wants you to prepare the room for the Passover meal.” So the followers left and went into the city and prepared the Passover Feast.
In the evening, Jesus went to that house with the twelve. While they were eating, Jesus took the bread and gave God thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and eat it; this is my body which will be given up for you.”

When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave God thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and drink from it; this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

After some time, Jesus got up from the table and went to a different part of the room.  He put a large towel around him, making himself look like a servant.  After that, he poured water into a large bowl and began to wash the disciples' feet.  He then dried them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.

When Jesus had finished washing all of the disciples’ feet, he returned to the table.  "Do you understand what I have done for you?"  Jesus asked them.
Jesus is like a King - but even greater than a king, He's the King of Kings!  By washing the disciples’ feet, He was doing something that only a servant would do.
This is an example of how you should treat others.  You don't have to actually wash other people's feet, but do kind things to others and act like a servant for Jesus.

Live Simply Day

Today is Live Simply Day. We live a Live Simply Day so that we can stand in solidarity with the poor people in our world. To live simply means to not use things that we don't need to survive. We also can't wear nice shoes and clothes. To live simply means to not eat lollies and sweets and only rice and fruit. Living simply means to not use electronic devices such as: computers, laptops and phones. Living simply also means to not use any transportation devices like cars, bikes and scooters.

Hot Air Balloon

Today, our school walked onto our grassy field to take a ride in Wildfire, the red, orange and yellow hot air balloon.
Finally, it was my turn. I was nervous and excited at the same time but I hopped into the small basket anyway. My heart was pumping but I knew I would be ok. I saw the man who was controlling the balloon put his hand on a small handle and pull down on it. A small flame appeared on the top of it. The balloon started to slowly inflate and lift off the ground then it started to hover in the cold misty air. I looked down at all the people. They all looked like tiny ants on the grass, then we started to go down very slowly and we had a bit of a rough landing. We got out of the basket and on to the grassy ground. We saw three other people hop into the basket as we walked off with smiles on our faces.
I thought that the ride was really fun and I would love to do it again.
